A Gathering Of Folk

DGG Productions is very pleased to notify music lovers about the Manchester Folk Festival, which  is an urban folk festival that takes place every autumn in and around HOME in Manchester city centre. The festival is friendly, inclusive and mostly about enjoying great music.

The Manchester Folk Festival is putting together a spotlight on English folk. Our aim is to profile the incredible range of great music that is described as folk and bring you the best of the current scene.

The whole festival takes places into one area of the city over one weekend. Set in HOME, which is a merger of Manchester’s best-loved arts organisations, Cornerhouse and the Library Theatre Company, HOME is a place for curiosity seekers, for lovers of the dramatic, the digital and the deeply engaging; for radicals and reciprocators. With indoor gigs (no mud!), creative workshops and a festival hub where you can catch your breath and catch up with friends, we want to create the feel of a greenfield festival in the vibrant heart of the city. There will be music, singing, dancing, and merry-making.
